Pocket wilderness - an active guide community

Vision

The purpose of Pocket Wilderness is to equip guides and invite people to draw away to a wilderness place as modeled by Jesus himself;

for a time of rest, repentance, prayer and divine encounter with the triune Christian God, Abba Father.

Mission

Each Pocket Wilderness experience is designed to empower God's people to build a disciplined rhythm of "biblical wilderness".

A spiritual pilgrimage into wilderness within a small intimate community seeking a transformational encounter with Father God.

Values

The community of Pocket Wilderness Guides value the Gospel of Jesus Christ above all.

It is our hope to serve the church effectively through by way of wilderness ministry.

Statement of Faith

Unified as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, each Pocket Wilderness Guide is in agreement that our relationship to the Christian God, creator and sustainer of all, is sealed by God's Spirit and actualized through faith in the person and life of Jesus. We seek clarity of God's character and person through the Holy Bible and earnestly participate in the Christian life as we seek to align with the person and teaching of Jesus Christ.

Guide Recognition

Each Pocket Wilderness Guide has completed a systematic training process administered in partnership with Solid Rock Outdoor Ministries in pursuit of the recognition as a Pocket Wilderness Guide.
